Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, Mrs. Sola David-Borha, will deliver the lecture at the 27th AIESEC Omolayole Annual Management Lecture.
The event, slated for Wednesday May 4, 2011 at the Lagoon Restaurant, Lagos, and put together by AIESEC Alumni Nigeria and AIESEC Nigeria, will commemorate the 50th anniversary celebration of AIESEC in Nigeria, making this the longest running consecutively-held lecture series in Nigeria.
Idris Yakubu, National President for AIESEC Alumni Nigeria, says this year’s theme “Financing Infrastruc-tural Development – The Power Sector” will focus on the issues that have impacted on Nigeria’s power sector, and will profer reasons why Nigeria is not witness-ing significant invest-ment in power sector.
The participants in this year’s lecture will include past speakers and chairpersons over the past 27 years; MDs /CEOs and high ranking officials of publicly quoted companies; high achieving entrepre-neurs; the academia; and members of AIESEC Alumni Nigeria, many of whom have attained very senior and middle level positions in both the public and private sectors.
AIESEC Alumni Nigeria (AAN) is a non-profit making organiza-tion which consists of graduates who were members of AIESEC in their undergraduate days.
It is the alumni arm of the Nigerian chapter of AIESEC, the world’s largest student-run organization, present in over 1700 universities across more than 107 countries and territories.
Focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development, AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to be global citizens and to change the world.
In line with these ideals, AIESEC Alumni Nigeria, through these lecture series, enlightens, sensitizes and educates the public on developments in the global arena.
