Medical Student Died in Ibadan NURTW Mayhem

The National President of the Nigerian Medical Student Association, Mr. Auwal Shanono, was one of the unlucky victims that were felled during the last Saturday’s violence by members of the National Union of

Road Transport Workers in Ibadan.

It was gathered that the deceased who until his death was a 500-level Medical Student of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria was identified by his colleagues.

The Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital, Prof. Temitope Alonge confirmed it saying

Medical student’s body was identified by his identity badge, a ring on his finger, his burnt shirt and a pair jeans trouser.

Some of his colleagues disclosed that he was killed on his way from Ile Ife in Osun State where he attended a national conference on maternal mortality.
